Panoramic view over the hills and forests of South Estonia, idyllic peaceful Estonia. Ripe colours refer to autumn. The country houses are located at a distance from each other on the principle of sparsely populated areas. The horizon is high, which means that Richard Uutmaa’s gaze is turned mainly towards the earth and less towards the sky. Watercolour technique is like a quick response in art – when viewed from the outside, performing it seems like a deceptively simple task. In order to paint a successful watercolour work, the artist has to practice their eye and hand before years of study.
