Enno Ootsing, who had just graduated from ERKI (Estonian State Art Institute, now EKA) as a graphic artist, painted two obviously related watercolour paintings Hommik (Morning) and Õhtu (Evening). These are bold experiments with colours and forms in the context of the young artist’s own time. But Enno Ootsing was not alone in his endeavours, around him was a whole group of young artists who thought the same way. They have gone down in art history as ANK '64. Now, in retrospect, it is the world discoveries of the youth of that time that seem so special. The works created in this era and spirit are no longer coming from anywhere. Enno Ootsing worked as a lecturer in graphic art from 1980 to 2005, of which 21 years as a professor at the same art college, which he himself had graduated from. Through teaching new young people, he has influenced the performance of Estonian graphic art.
