Maara Vint, always fairy-tale like, depicts planting a rose as a solemn and festive ritual in this drawing. Golden tone is not used in art just like that, it has marked higher qualities inaccessible to the material world through the centuries. However, the opulent patterns and endless decorations created by the exquisite ink lines allow the beautiful young woman and the rose she plants to shine. Maara Vint could be associated with the artists of her brother, Tõnis Vint’s circle, where contemplation or meditation, oriental ink drawing as interpreted by Estonian artists, subtle precision of detail, and self-awareness were considered important.
