A delicate monochrome watercolour of the Seine. The banks of the Seine were a favourite walking spot for other Pallas residents in Paris in the 1930s, as depicted by Andrus Johan and others. Was there a sense of affinity with the Emajõgi River that runs through Tartu? In the spring of 2023, the University of Tartu Museum will host an exhibition of Võerahansu’s paintings ‘Pariisi taeva all’ (‘Under the Parisian Sky)’, of which curator Krista Piirimäe will publish a monograph.
