Lars Møller

Lars Møller born in Uummannaq in 1967. Lars went to art schools and took courses at the School of Visual Arts in Copenhagen before completing his training in 2000 as a teacher of visual arts at the College of Education for Crafts and Design in Aalborg. Lars gets his inspiration from the old Eskimo culture where in an abstract form he tries to unite the historical with the modern. He experiments with many materials. His latest paintings have been on folded newspapers. The recycled material gives the surface an uneven and vivid structure. The colours come from northern lights, frost and the midnight sun.
