Oline Binzer

Oline Binzer born in Kapisillit, Nuuk, in 1963 Oline is a teacher. She was trained at the college of education in Nuuk 1988. In the same year she moved to Denmark, where she was primarly engaged in social and cultural work among Greenlanders in Denmark. As a member of a large family Oline has used art as a breathing hole she could dive into when everyday life became too noisy. She still becomes restless if she cannot find time to have the pictures in her head realised into art. At present she mostly carves in bone, animal teeth and stone because she is in love with the rough way of working. Today Oline is both a busy mother of small children and a parttime artist. She plans to resume drawing and watercolour painting at some time.
