Enn Põldroos has found inspiration from very different sources and the diversity of his creation has been impressive. In the second half of the 1960ies Põldroos was one of the most outstanding art renewers of the country. During that period was compiled the chrestomathy of his works, incl. the series “Situatsioonid” (”Situations”). Põldroos, having worked mainly in brown, created on his paintings slightly surrealistic moods, setting together as collages different layers of meanings. In the present work we can see one more aspect, being characteristic to Põldroos: a small detail, being placed into the centre, which also determines the general impression.
