It is hard to tell, how big percentage on the painting surface is formed by these two tiny human figures, but their presence gives the whole work a completely different meaning. Without the walkers it would undoubtedly be an artistic success, where most eye-striking is stressing of the geometric features of forms and using of an interesting perspective and room. But including of people adds life to the whole cityscape, houses are not cold architectural formations anymore. If wanted, it is even possible to see in one walker a sailor that is a modest commentary to the location of the Old City of Tallinn.
