Richard Sööt "Ristuvad teed"

Richard Sööt "Ristuvad teed"

Richard Sööt was an Estonian artist abroad, whose creation involved both national romantic pieces of art and abstract paintings. The present Endel Kõks-style joy of colours is the example of the latter. It is interesting that Sööt dares to use for the background silver-grey shades that are not usually preferred by artists. Still, this helps even more to draw out the colour surfaces in the foreground, to emphasize their personality and freshness.
