HAUS GALLERY AUCTION OF ESTONIAN CLASSICS - SPRING 2020 - MAY 15TH AT 7 PM
We are in the process of preparing the most convenient and suitable options for you to participate in the upcoming auction. More information coming shortly!
The spring comes to Haus Gallery differently this year, as it does everywhere. Our mobility is limited and our minds are looking for answers to bigger questions. Art wanders in the depths, it poetizes the simple things and carries big ideas through small spaces.
This spring's selection is simultaneously tender and powerful in terms of motifs. Take, for example, Johannes Võerahansu's "Rukkilõikus" (1938), Elmar Kits' waterside landscapes from his prime in the 1950s, simple landscape of Southern Estonia by Günther Reindorff, which makes a tree trunk look bigger than a forest, Olev Subbi's yard with an old car and a well, Edgar Valter's walkers in the rain, Paul Burman's women, horses and large rocks, Olav Maran's still life with a table clock, Eduard Wiiralt's children innocently smiling, Eduard Ole's stormy sea forgetting all about the mellow beach breeze, Aarne Miikmaa's roses from someone's table and many more - rooms, forests, waters and skies, villages and cities... this spring, in depth and detail, enjoying every moment on both sides of the brush strokes.
The artworks featured in the auction are presented in more detail than usual. We have provided close-ups of each work, allowing you to get close and closer. You can get lost in the artists' methods and styles, which communicate elaborate thoughts, ideas and feelings.
I wish you beautiful moments with our wonderfully meaningful and lavish classic art pieces, dear art lovers!
