Sirli Hein
1980
On one side everything is A-OK. In her pictures there are idyllic gardens, romantic scenery, the faces of the people are happy, the mood is maybe not quite Sunday-like, but it at least reminds you of a Mardi Gras. On the other side it contains a strange unnerving quality. An anticipation of a shift, of a grotesque unknown. There is nothing better than… Just stop. Enough with the philosophy. It’s time to start analyzing the works.
