Evald Okas, an acknowledged talent in Soviet art, was allowed to travel to capitalist countries such as Italy, Japan, and France during the Cold War, although the artist was not a member of the party. Choosing always to portray powerful, complete, and harmonious personalities, the female profile here also seems to bring together the history and the present of the entire city of Rome.
