(1925–1998)
Landscape with Groups of Trees. 1969
Oil, cardboard. 48.5 x 69 cm (framed)

A dramatic landscape panorama in which the influence of the harsh style that spread throughout the 1960s is felt (view sometimes dark contours). The painting recognises the drumlins of South Estonia – Valdur Ohakas has left a memory of himself as an artist who lived in the so-called jungle, in Kütiorg, South Estonia. The oeuvre of Valdur Ohakas includes his earlier modernist works of the 1960s, which sought artistic innovation.
