Sirje Runge

Is it a minimalist heaven and earth? Looking at Sirje Runge's abstract painting, one can admire the color sensibility trained by the artist over decades, because for him, colors form a separate language in which the surroundings communicate with the artist and in which the artist communicates with the surroundings.
Sirje Runge teaches color theory to young people at the Institute of Baltic Film, Media and Arts at Tallinn University. She tries to convey to her students the same sensibility that has carried her forward in painting. I remembered Sirje Runge's comment that when she looks out of the window in the morning, she can get information about the weather and air temperature mainly from the colors. Based on the colors, the artist knows how warmly to dress for that day.
