A refined visual, cleansed of everything superfluous, where Mare Vint seems to be looking for a metaphysical eternity-city, an ideal-city. The horizon is low, which means that the main focus of the image lies on an empty sky, into which the geometry of architecture is almost blended. The lithography here has passed through the printing press several times, allowing for very even colour surfaces. However, Mare Vint’s beloved technique has been drawing with either ink or crayons on paper or canvas. Tõnis Vint and the circle of artists around him have a slightly oriental connection. Drawing by Mare Vint (manual activity) has meant a time-consuming process, a meditative state, and a perfect end result.
