An ambiguous painting by an artist who has had a long and in every sense successful career as an artist and politician. Against the monochrome background, three motifs stand out in bright colours – a red dotted line like a strange meter, a human foot at the bottom of the painting, and another human foot opposite it at the top. The dramatic question relates primarily to the legs: what is happening here? Does the lower leg belong to the male and the upper leg to the female? Do two legs compete with each other or, on the contrary, complement each other?
