Ando Keskküla "Vaikelu haavaga"

Ando Keskküla is one of the most outstanding figures in our contemporary art, following in his interpretations most of the major local trends – one of the members of the group SOUP´69, having been influenced by pop-art, being one of the first hyperrealistic painters. In the 1980ies Keskküla concentrated on the problems of reality and illusions of an object. And from this period also originates „Vaikelu haavaga” that is one of the works, belonging to his well-known series „Suured vaikelud” (“Great still-lives”). By today the majority of the series is in the collections of the art museum and art fund. This metaphysical piece renders a sensitive and poetically echoing thought, which involves preconditions for generalisations, touching the sore points of human soul through times and convictions and perceptions.
