”Metamorphoses are changes, distortions, transitions. Something turns into something. Paintings depict trivial living environments and symbols of eternity. This exhibition is a retrospective and ironic illustration of time running its course..."

Landscapes, landscapes, nature – this is the theme of the autumn auction. I'm walking in the gallery and viewing the landscapes on the walls, browsing the catalogue and following with my eyes the contours of the roads on the pictures, wondering if I could have been to some of them. Little Estonia – all of us could someday stumble across any of your paths.

A text about art often begins with the name of the author of the work, followed by sentences about his or her studies, experiences and achievements. A context is created, a box where further information about an exhibition or a piece of artwork could be placed. However, art does not want to stay in a box, but is rather longing to fly with the birds in the heavenly depths of the work.
Freedom is the space where the artist has a chance to create and put emphasis on the varieties of the world through their own unique viewpoint. The freedom to create – that is an immense joy.

It is exactly that — the vicinity of water that enables her to feel the most. And feelings — feelings need expression — to throw shoes on the side of the road and disappear barefoot under the stormy clouds.

If an artist paints a landscape, what does he see and depict: are these simply endless roads, summer horizons, the colours of the forests, heavenly cloud rhythms or parks playing the game of changing seasons?
