Colours that have thousands of imaginary landscapes and thoughts hidden in them. Images that can be viewed however one’s eye and imagination dictates, without the obligation to see what the artist has wanted to show, instead, with every viewer’s personal liberty to shape the meaning and landscapes of this art for themselves. In this exhibition, the freedom of interpretation is not a choice but an objective.

MARKO MÄETAMM SENDS GREETINGS FROM THE 1990s!
On Thursday, 18 June, at 18:00, Haus Gallery’s upper floor gallery will host the opening of Marko Mäetamm’s exhibition ‘Connections’
Exhibited are original drawings, lithography and a painting from the beginning of the 1990s when Mäetamm was still completing his studies. It is exactly this style, and these works, which engrained Mäetamm into people’s memory as a vigorous and humorously selfish young artist, stepping onto the public art scene for the first time. As an artist, Mäetamm portrayed the changing world boldly, documenting its rebranding while being simultaneously a participant and an observer.
In addition to the works that have become his trademark, the exhibition also features unique pieces which the artist has kept to himself until now.
The exhibition will stay open until 12 August. The gallery will go on vacation during July but the exhibition will remain open for scheduled visitors.

HAUS GALLERY'S SPRING AUCTION WAS A SUCCESS!
It was for the first time in history that an Estonian auction house used a live-online format. The participants were able to bid from the comfort of their own homes while observing the auctioneer on a live screen. For the enjoyment of the viewers, the broadcast was enlivened with colourful clips inbetween each piece to introduce the upcoming work. Haus Gallery's IT development simultaneosuly combined for the client a live feed straight from the auction room and the opportunity to bid and follow the biddings of others. Participation was possible through the online channel, as well as through the usual written and telephone offers.
The auction brought record prices with some hammer prices surpassing the starting price multiple times. From the 53 works on offer, 46 found a new owner. The selection was diverse, including exceptional works from notable authors who are considered classics of the Estonian art world. The range offered a nice overview of Estonian art history from the beginning of the 20th to the 21st century.
For already 23 years, Haus Gallery's semiannual art auctions have taken place every spring and autumn. The works originate largely from various private collections or directly from the artists. For our team, the auction preparation is a lengthy process where we take extra care with each individual work. As a result, we bring to the public a careful selection of works which are representative of the current art market.
Haus Gallery's next art auction takes place in autumn. However, we offer the possibility to take part of daily, smaller auctions on our recently revived auction system: onlinearthaus.com.
WE WELCOME YOU TO WATCH OUR FIRST ORIGINAL ART BROADCAST
We have enhanced and upgraded our video and IT platforms for the upcoming auction. Preparations are being made to offer everyone the chance to participate online. Shortly, we will provide further information on how to become involved. Haus Gallery will make sure to provide several convenient ways to participate, depending on everyone's situation and preference.
