In the gallery of the main building of Eesti Ühispank, the
building of which overlooks the whole city as a mountain, are now being
exposed under the supervision of the Haus Gallery paintings, inspired by
mountains. |
|
On the white walls of the exhibition hall there are
exposed 35 paintings from the creation of the artist from the years 2000
and 2001 - water-colours, China ink, pastels of mountains. Maara Vints
works as a freelance artist from 1979 and is known to the public as a
graphic artist and an author of book and magazine illustrations and
childrens\' books. |
|
Exhibition of Maara Vint in Eesti Ühispank is designed by
his artist brother Toomas Vint together with his wife Aili. |
|
Paintings of Maara Vint are sincere and
convincing. As in fairy tale in front of the viewers appear mountains,
often of precious stones, with oriental characters, each having his own
story to tell. The works are contradictory to the reserved Nordic nature -
without being ashamed of and without concealing sensuous emotions,
colours, figures, dreams... |
|
Paintings of the artist are a combination of the fantasy of
the cordial and psychical creator and from direct emotions from the
nature. The oriental motifs of Maara Vint have been influenced by her
journey to Mongolia some years ago and her interest towards the Buddhist
culture. Mountains in the exhibition paintings have been inspired to a
large extent by the Swiss mountains. The mountains as a subconcious
passion have always captivated the artist. Mountains of the paintings are
based on sketches that were made in the nature, the structure of which was
later developed by the artist\'s fantasy. Paintings of Maara Vint invite
the exhibition visitors for a dream walk in the world of mountains, the
breath of which is more than sensed by the
viewer.
