The ensemble \"Tunnetusüksus\" will perform in Haus Gallery!

On November 7 at 7 p.m. in the basement hall of the Haus Gallery will be given a concert by group \"Tunnetusüksus\" (Cognition Unit), making improvisational jazz music. The group comes together only for one concert.
This is happening in order to celebrate the exhibition of Arno Arrak \"Maastikuvisioonid\" (Landscape visions). For the first time, after a 13-year pause, the group is joined by Arno Arrak, who played percussions in  its initial composition.

The group \"Tunnetusüksus\" comes together since the summer of 1988. Together with Mart Soo, Mart Süda and Raivo Laas also Arno Arrak, who then played percussions, is one of its founder members. The \"Tunnetusüksus\", having quickly won attention and recognition, set as its target finding of  new tunes and shades of sounds and uniqueness of experience. Therefore the concert, which is based on improvisation, is an event in itself that will never be held in the same style again. According to the words of Arno Arrak he himself was in the group first of all \"the painter\", whose task was finding of new colour shades and melting them together.

In 1989 Arrak left Estonia and re-unites only now for one concert his former band companions. The reason for this is the painting exhibition \"Maastikuvisioonid\" that the artist opened in the basement hall of the Haus Gallery. \"This time we try to turn back to a certain theme, around of which we shall start to improvise. Because of that the concert is called \"Themes for landscape visions\", says Arno Arrak himself.

Number of places at the concert is limited. Persons interested should certainly register in the Gallery, by phone (0) 6 419 471 or by clicking here. Cost of the ticket 50 kroons.
